7th Annual Elysian Heights 5K Run/Walk

March 21 | 07:30 a PT – 11:00 a PT

The 5K is named for Donnovan Castellanos a 4th grader who passed away from an asthma attack a few years ago. In honor of Donnovan, 15% of the event's proceeds will be donated to the American Lung Association.

The run/walk is free to all, but if you donate, you will receive a custom T-shirt, medal, and bib number!

The suggested donation for the 5K is $35 per person.

The goals of the Elysian Heights 5K are to build community, inspire a healthier lifestyle for our students and their neighborhood, and raise funds for enrichment activities at the school. The proceeds of the run will go to building our visual, performing arts and after school programs, as well as providing teachers with funds for classroom technology.

The race begins at Elysian Heights Elementary Arts Magnet, a K-5 National Title 1 Distinguished School, located in the heart of Los Angeles, and takes the runners on a scenic journey through Elysian Park and back again to finish at our beautiful campus. It promises to be a fun day of exercise that raises money for a great cause.
